Our customer required a tool to align two 4mm dia x 9mm long micro lens assemblies and hold them in place during bonding. One lens assembly was fixed and the other an adjustable zoom lens. Once the two lens assemblies were aligned, epoxy was strategically injected to permanently fixed the lens assemblies to the lens housing.
The fixed lens required the following alignment DOFs: Focus (Z), Pitch (Rot y) and Yaw (Rot X)
The zoom lens required the following alignment DOFs: Focus (Z) and zoom adjustment.
