The tool probe mount allows for instantaneous mounting and demounting of a calibrated tool probe without recalibration. Repeatability is less than 3 microns and provided via a “kinematic” coupling. Kinematic mounts have a long and proven history for repeatable mounting and demounting of precision components such as for precision optics. We adapted a kinematic coupling for rapid, tool-less, and repeatable mounting and demounting of CNC machine tool probes. Then we patented it.
The Diamond Drag Engraver provides precise line engraving at well over 100 ipm. Rather than cutting the material, it forms a shallow groove by dragging a spring-loaded diamond tip across the material. Diamond Drag Engravers are more versatile than cutting engravers as they can engrave on soft plastics, full hard tool steel, glass and even stone.
Additionally, because the tip is spring loaded, it will provide constant engraving depth on uneven surfaces. No more engraving fade or overcut. The life of the Diamond Drag Engraver is many times greater than a cutter engraver and depending on use, you may find a single Diamond Drag Engraver tip lasting many years.
Tool probe mounting system allows for instantaneous de-mounting and mounting of a tool probe without re-calibration. Free up machining space, protect your tool probe from damage. You can even share a single tool probe across multiple machines!
